Polesi the US House Speaker Begins Asia Tour, No Taiwan Mention

United States house of representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi started a tour of four Asian countries on Sunday, her office has said, without mentioning Taiwan Amid speculation that she might visit self ruled is the land claimed by China.

The Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a congregational Delegation to the Indo Pacific region including visit to Singapore, Malaysia, south Korea and Japan, her office said in the press release on Sunday.

The statement said the visit would include those countries but didn’t specify whether Polesi Who is the number three inline of the united States presidential succession might other stops.

The trip will focus on mutual security, economic partnership and democratic governance in Indo Pacific region, it’s said.

Gregory Meeks, chair of the US house committee On foreign affairs was among the delegation Listed.

China views visit by US official to Taiwan as sending an encouraging signal to pre-independance camp on the island.  Washington does not have official diplomatic ties with Taiwan but it’s bound by Law to provide the island with the means to defend it self.

A visit by Pelosi would be a dramatic though not unprecedented. Show off US support for Taiwan republican newt Gingrich was the last house Speaker to visit Taiwan in 1997.

Chinese President Xi Jinping warned his US counterpart Joe Biden on Thursday that Washington should abide by the china principle and those who plays with fire will parish by it.

Biden told Xi that US Policy on Taiwan had not changed and Washington strongly unilateral efforts to change the status quo or undermine peace and stability across Taiwan straits.
