No less than 12 travelers of a business transport were protected after the transport they boarded strayed away from its path and slid into the trench at Cement bus station on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, thi evening July 10.

Observers faulted the driver of the business transport for driving foolishly.

Affirming the episode to newsmen, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said the casualties were 7 guys and five females who were completely taken to the medical clinic.

*Upon landing in the scene, a mishap including a business transport (varagon) with obscure enrollment number and a Camry vehicle with enlistment number BDG 963BT were experienced at the scene.

Additional data assembled at the scene uncovered that the mishap happened because of careless driving from the business transport driver which prompted the tumbling off of the business transport into the waterway.

The 12 ( 7 male and 5 female harmed travelers have been safeguarded and taken to the hospital”he said

Osanyintolu added that vehicle driver (a grown-up male) supported minor wounds and was taken care of at the scene by the paramedics group.

*The LRT group close by, LRU paramedics and The Nigeria Police were responders at the scene. The Agency’s Hiab is being dispatched for the recuperation of the business transport from the canal.*
